Brett Anthony Moore’s art practice delves into the multifaceted nature of the human experience, exploring themes of diversity, interconnectedness and the shared forces that bind us together. His work is defined by a distinctive technical approach, blending colour in the form of what he calls ‘paint skins.’ This process using polymer and acrylic mediums creates rich, textured individual layers that are assembled together to evoke fluidity and depth.

 

Through his signature ‘paint skins,’ Moore aims to express not just the visible aspects of the work but the metaphysical energies that flow beneath the surface. Each piece reflects a dynamic interplay of movement and presence, mirroring the unseen forces that affect our lives. 

Often, Moore’s work interacts with light, shadow and form that shifts depending on the viewer’s perspective. This interaction between the artwork’s physicality light suggests that a larger force, something beyond the individual elements of the work is at play.
